About
Justine Socha is a highly creative and versatile 2D animator, character designer, and artistic director currently working at Coucou Guys. In this role, Justine leads the artistic direction and creation of 2D animation content and motion designs for the popular "Océane" YouTube channel, boasting a substantial following of 1.9 million subscribers and +380 million views. She directly contributes to sponsored video projects for renowned brands such as Netflix (Bridgerton), L'Oréal, Spotify, Tinder, Hello Fresh and Coca-Cola.

Prior to this, Justine gained valuable experience as a graphic designer at Pathway. Her responsibilities included the creation of visual identity and page layout for a startup, contributing to a successful brand refresh that resulted in a significant increase of 4.5 million views.
Justine's passion for animation is further highlighted by her work as a 2D animator on the short film "Naked Came The Stranger". The 2D short film garnered significant recognition by being selected in 21 film festivals and winning the "Best Animation" award at the World Impact Festival, among 13,000 short and feature-length films from 120 countries.

Justine's academic background includes a Master of Arts in 2D Animation from the University of West England, Bristol, where she created an award-winning solo 2D animation short film. The film received the "Best Film Animation" award at the One Fluid Night Festival (London, UK). Her studies encompassed animation, design, and project management.​

She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Animation 2D/3D with training in Art History, Graphic Design, Editing, Illustration, Programming, and Sound Design from Rubika, Montréal.
Justine possesses a strong command of various software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, ToonBoom Harmony, Adobe Premiere Pro, ToonBoom Storyboard Pro, and Maya. Her animation skills encompass both 2D and 3D techniques, alongside visual research, character design, concept art, set design, prop design, video editing, sound design, and screenwriting for both short and feature-length projects.
A capable project manager with excellent communication skills, Justine is adept at adapting her discourse to diverse audiences and excels in intercultural and multilingual environments. She is fluent in French (native language) and English (bilingual), with a basic understanding of Italian (B1 level) and Japanese (A1 level).
